I have over 25 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. I work with adults and teens on reducing anxiety and depression, improving relationships, and resolving difficult issues that make people feel “stuck”. I welcome people from all walks of life, and offer counseling in a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and safe environment.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Clark University and my Masters and Doctoral degrees from Antioch University. Originally from the Boston area, I moved to Oregon in 2008 to enjoy the lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. While in Boston, I worked for many years in the healthcare sector offering counseling, coaching, and support to individuals and groups in high stress medical professions.
My theoretical orientation is interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral, which means I view most human problems as a result of a disconnection in relationships and distortions in thinking. I work with people to find better ways of relating to others and developing healthier self-perceptions.
My particular areas of specialty include:
- Depression, including post-partum depression
- Self-esteem and self-image problems
- Marital and relationship conflicts
- Struggles and Losses in Mother-Daughter Relationships
I am Preferred Provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, & ODS
Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and Paypal accepted.
